This past Saturday, dozens of volunteers representing multiple organizations and East End neighborhoods gathered at Chimborazo Park to plant nearly 100 saplings. According to photos shared with The Lookout by neighborhood resident Grant Mathews, vice president of the Chimborazo Park Conservancy, Richmond’s mayor, Danny Avula, and chief administrative officer, Odie Donald II, were among the shovel-wielding crews. (See above, left.) The Lookout will have a report on the event in this Friday’s newsletter, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t yet. It’s free!
More to come soon. And now, to the photos!
