Scenes from Church Hill's 2025 Candlelight Walk
Hundreds braved the cold to celebrate the season, with bagpipes leading the way
On the evening of December 5th, hundreds of East Enders gathered at Jefferson Park in the damp December cold for the Church Hill Association’s annual Candlelight Walk. The procession was led as usual by the The Richmond Pipe and Drum Bagpipe Band, which made its customary stop at Patrick Henry Park to pick up attendees of vespers services as both St. Patrick’s and St. John’s Churches before marching the crowd to Libby Hill Park.
Your humble Lookout editor was on hand to catch a portion of the band’s rendition of “Amazing Grace,” and to take in the holiday cheer.
Next up on the neighborhood’s 2025 holiday docket: the CHA’s Holiday House Tour on Sunday, December 7th.
