Where and when did you get your pet? January, 2016 in Onslow County, North Carolina. Quick story about that, we saw her in the pound one day and she was the only dog to look us in the eye and make a connection. Another couple looked at her too right after us. That night I regretted not getting her so I went my wife out first thing in the freezing cold to wait outside and get her first thing. Good thing we did, because that other dumb couple came after! Take that, suckers.

What's your pet's favorite thing to eat? Probably some version of venison, jerky, and most any dairy.

Does your pet have a neighborhood animal friend they like to play with? Absolutely not. She is a bad dog who wasn't socialized as a puppy so she isn't allowed friends. However, she does well with parallel play and is happy sunning and "rotisserizing" in her backyard.

What is your pet's favorite thing about living in the East End? Smells in the park and on walks, and eating left over crust from Pizza Bones, I guess.

Got anything else Lookout readers should know about your pet? Batty is the somehow both the best and worst dog in the world. Not that she's a "bad dog," but she just isn't good at acting "like a dog." She's more like a cat. She is very clean, isn't slobbery or gross, almost never has indoor accidents, rarely barks (unless a dog she doesn't like walks by her backyard), and only very few times has ever stolen food off the counter. In fact, we've left food out during a party she could have gotten, but she just didn't care. However, like a cat, she likes her space and has no interest in pleasing us. She also isn't good with other dogs. But she eventually learned to love to cuddle with us (non-consentually, to be honest, but it had to happen), and LOVES meeting people, especially kids. Feel free to come up to her on walks (without a dog) and pet her.
